Artist Mood board and Real World Reference...

The above images show the mood boards for my initial artist research and my real world reference research and drawings/ images. In the artist mood board I practiced digital painting in the artists style in preparation for the layout and final 2D background. I found painting digitally in the artists style fairly difficult as it was tricky to make it look realistic and naturalistic.  In the real world reference mood board I gathered real life images and made drawing observations from these as well as painting distant mountains, in order to get an idea or atmospheric perspective in the real world.
