Whale Digital Photoshop Painting...

I wanted to further explore Photoshop and expand my digital painting skills. I saw a painting of a Whale on etsy and decided to try painting something similar using Photoshop. I referenced the reflection of the moon on the sea and the colours of the water and sky at night in order to create an idea of what the outcome of the painting could be like. I used real world images combined with the painting of the Whales tail that I got my inspiration from. I really like how this has turned out and the colours work well together along with the brush strokes used. However I think that the moon could look better as it reminds me of an egg rather than a moon. It needs more detail.
